QAL‘AT AL-HAMRA

Qal‘at al-Hamra — the Red Castle — was inspired by Qatar’s architecture. From the strength of Barzan Towers to the spirit of Doha’s old town and the Sheikh Faisal Museum, we wanted to capture that resilience in our design.

WGSN is highlighted three trends this year: Angular Geometry, Baked Pigments, and New Materiality. Qal‘at al-Hamra brings them together with fortress-like legs, a desert red tone, and handcrafted lightweight concrete.

The final piece is 40% lighter yet very strong — mixed with natural stone and polished by hand, each surface feels unique and warm.

For us, it’s more than a console — it’s where heritage, innovation, and craftsmanship meet. Proud to be part of the FROMM.lab Design Competition 2025.
